Charvi A of Karnataka remained unbeaten in the whole championship, thus by securing 10.5 points out of 11 rounds to comfortably win the U-10 championship with 1.5 points margin. Another player Aadya Ranganath also from Karnataka secured 2nd place by scoring 8.5 points out of 11 rounds. The Tournament was held at The Kangra Fort, Jammu and was organized by Crown Trust under the auspicious of J&K Chess Association from 26th Apr to 1st May, there were 89 players representing all the states in India for this U-10 championship. Other notable players from Karnataka Siddi S Rao and Krupha Ukkali secured 5th and 6th places respectively.
Charvi and Aadya will represent India in the upcoming Asian and World Chess championships.
